Retina Foundation
The Retina Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality continuing education programs to improve patient outcomes. Our ORU programs help optometrists stay current on advances in retinal diseases, treatment, and patient management. Optometrists also receive continuing education credit for attending.
Our ORU programs feature presentations by our leading retina specialists, followed by meaningful discussion among regional optometrists. Our educational events have consistently attracted strong participation and are often recorded to extend our reach to optometrists unable to attend. Strong attendance demonstrates the significant educational reach of the program and the ongoing demand for retinal education among community eye care providers.
Each ORU event requires a substantial investment, typically ranging from $8,000 to $12,000, which covers our venue, catering, and audiovisual expenses. Support from industry partners allows us to continue offering these programs while expanding access to education for optometrists throughout our region.
